Unraveling Life’s Mystery, A Poem

Has anything

captured your attention

shaken you alive

and you found yourself

intent –

on trying to understand.

You lost conscious thought

you became –

what you saw, felt, heard

you wrapped your

heart and soul

around it

turned it on every angle

and every side

tossed about

in the dark corners

of your mind.

I wonder,

if this is

how animals

see the world.

No matter

if all they see

is black and white,

for they see

all the shades

of meaning

in between

on unraveling

life’s mystery.
