Because I Don’t Have a Photographic Memory (Part 1)

I don’t know about everyone else, but I always seem to have more than enough photos on my computer.  Funny thing is – I plan to post them, and all of a sudden the next day I take hundreds more.  So they are forgotten.  There are so many that haven’t been seen, it isn’t funny.  And yes, I know I have an addiction 🙂

I think I am really doing this for me, more than anything.  I want to go through my files and try to pull photographs that I have not shared before.  If I inadvertently share one that you’ve seen before – sorry!  I tend to forget, but I’m sure you will see many new ones!

This is me – giving myself a pep talk.  When I cannot get out into nature, I feel so exhausted.  It’s okay if I miss one weekend, but when they add up – it is difficult.  I just like to connect with the world around me – and not behind plate glass windows.  I’m starting early this time because usually it is winter when I start to feel claustrophobic.  However, this year has been busier than most and I just felt the need to cheer myself up by noticing nature’s beauty.

I hope you enjoy these posts – and I have absolutely no idea how many actual posts I will share, but sometimes the best things are not planned in advance.  I just thought it would be a good way for me to reminisce about times when I really felt at peace.

  2. oh i love these and can never get enough so please do share 🙂 love how your eyes and pen both know to capture the most beautiful details and often missed details, love and hugs always.
I finally was gifted a smartphone by my hubby but I find it a hassle to stop and click most times it’s in the trunk because i don’t take calls when driving, then if I’m with my hubby i tend to not carry it at all and so i end up with nada 🙂 also we don’t go out much because in India if you have to go to parks you cannot go alone, they’ll be eveteasing and my hubby doesn’t get much time,so it’s me from my house to Mom’s house or shopping…anyway if i do click any i shall post 🙂 you have fun with your addiction,it’s a good one 🙂 love and hugs

I know you are stuck inside often – that’s what brings me joy, the thought I can at least share something of value with you. I truly do not know why I am the way I am – but I always find myself tilting my head and finding the beauty in the funniest of places. Of course, many of them are beautiful in their own right, but I just never lost that inquisitive playfulness from when I was a kid. Funny thing is – my kids are that way too. I think we drive my husband mad. He is a numbers guy 🙂 And if you do capture some – let me know! I can’t wait to see it.

I am one person who probably would not be offended at that statement. I see my kids and wish we held on to that innocence and curiosity. If we could only see through their eyes and hearts more…

There are actually times I say, “I did not take that, did I?” So funny. They are wonderful memories though.
