Photography: Playing with Lights (Part #4)

I know by the end of this some of you may beg me not to take my camera around with me – but yes, I do have more pictures of lights.  I cannot help myself.  Aside from the amazing smells of this season, the lights are what speak loudest to me.  Perhaps it is because the landscape is usually gray or white – and I miss the colors of Spring, but I am romanced by the beauty of lights and just wish my camera had noticed them sooner.

So glad you like them. Sometimes I am uncertain whether people will see value in what I share. It’s just one of those things. I guess the good thing is that I have young children who just say “do it” without a thought. The chances we take 🙂

      1. Most of us have those lapses of confidence. Keep on listening to those small voices, and you won’t go far wrong, until they hit their teens – then you may need to be cautious of their advice for a while 🙂

Two of my girls are already teens, but I am fortunate that we are rather close. It is not always easy – they can get catty sometimes 🙂 but they are also writers so they really enjoy what I do and amaze me at their own abilities. I think sometimes it helps that we have some things in common, but I think writing really helps make it easier sometimes to communicate. If you cannot say it in words, you can write it all down.

          1. It’s great that they write. Writers communicate on a higher level, although once something is written, it’s hard to take it back.

True. They are rather careful with their words, so hopefully they will not have that problem. I have tried to let them understand other people’s points of view and also the important task of respecting others. Not easy, but I hope they have learned something.

          3. I’m sure they have. Even if they forget your words for a while, they’ll come back to them again.
