Naked

It’s not what you were thinking…  Yesterday, the word of the day was “rainment” on Merriam-Webster.  I tried to post it yesterday, but for some reason my account wasn’t working.  Enjoy!naked

Lay down your raiment

At my feet

Let the gentle breeze

Plunder my senses

For I am naked

And senselessly scratching

Toward the withering skies

Alone, in the silence.

The rattle in my bones lingers

And loneliness grows my day

I want

I need

The comfort of your tresses

And the beauty that I seek,

For hidden beneath

Your glorious shelter

I see beauty

Where once I saw nakedness.
