Lately, we’ve been having warmer weather, although right now the skies find themselves as stretched out grey masses hanging over tiny shelves of blue. It is also supposed to be warm today, but I have to admit I love waking to a day where the sun shines bright, the sky is that beautiful shade of blue and the only clouds are a few, big puffy ones streaking across the sky. I think it is those clouds that stretch from one end to the other across the horizon that get to me. I feel stretched out, tired, longing for color. Odd, isn’t it – how weather can make such a difference, even in promise you hold in your pocket toward a wonderful day. Man, I need to get out more. 🙂
I know that things are starting to bloom. Yesterday, I not only spied a gorgeous butterfly in the yard, but our tree out front is starting to bud. Next week, I am hoping to take so many pictures that my camera will die from exhaustion (at least temporarily). It is going to e spring break and man, we have needed it! Anyway, here are some other photographs taken at the gardens during the winter. I hope you enjoy them.
You are very talented behind that lens… beautiful shots. I love the squirrel!

Oh thank you 🙂 Funny thing is – I belonged to a group that would allow you to post poems, but you had to use your own images. I was distraught because I was not a photographer. I got a camera and this is the result. Absolute love 🙂 So glad you enjoy them.

These photos are beautiful – hard to pick a favourite, but I’m going with the pink leaf (photo 4)

Thank you Isabel. Yes, I find it so difficult to pick. Often, it will change depending on my view that day 🙂

It’s amazing how we can find beauty even at the smallest details! Love it. 😀

Yes, a long time ago I would not have noticed, but over time (especially starting to take photographs) I become more aware.

So glad you liked them, I was almost considering not sharing. I do that sometimes (doubt myself) 🙂 Now I know not to. Thank you Phyllis!

You know what I find amusing about that, is, whenever I do that, decide I’m not sure if….it turns out to be the prose, picture, poem (whatever) everyone responds to and loves most!

I know 🙂 I have had poems be praised highly and I’m thinking – I just spent a few minutes on it. Others, I spent a lot of time and effort to make it right and they did not get noticed. I have learned to love them all and just be appreciative of any attention they do receive. It is just a wonderful opportunity to share.

That is exactly what happens with me, again and again. I write them, if someone comments, that’s a bonus… hehe
