Lost, She is

Another Reflective Staircase poem.  This is a poem form that I came up with.  Hope you enjoy!

Faceless Voices

Lost,
she is –
among the many.
And no one listens
as faceless voices scream truths.
There’s nothing we have left behind
and a vortex of open wounds weeps.

And a vortex of open wounds weeps
there’s nothing we have left behind
as faceless voices scream truths
and no one listens.
Among the many,
she is
lost.

What is a Reflective Staircase Poem?  Essentially, you start the poem with the first line having one word, the next line has two words and you continue this way until the seventh line.  You then reverse the lines and they must make sense in order for the poem to work.  Sometimes this requires a bit of reworking 🙂

INTERESTING POEM, PLUS I REALLY LIKE YOUR COVER PHOTO; IT’S QUITE CAPTIVATING. BUT I HAVE ONE QUESTION, WHY ARE THE TWO STANZAS THE SAME?

That is the style of the poem 🙂 I went and put an explanation at the bottom of the poem. Hope that helps!
