What I Wish for You, a poem

 

May the sun

greet you gently

rays spread

upon the horizon

may its warmth reach

and heal all

that ails you.

May it hold you firm

in its embrace

may you sing your songs

with the butterflies

the buzzing bees

the flowing breeze –

and may you learn to

raise your voice high,

in confidence.

Let it lift your spirits –

and at days end,

may the sun sweetly hide

beneath the clouds

and give rise to dreams,

so that your heart

can still sing the melody

of your aspirations.
