You Taught Me to Love You, even in passing…

FontCandy (3)

Your whispered breath
spoke to me of longing
but the life left
within your soul
was fading fast.
You spoke of dreams
You spoke of dreams
and wondered
where all the time had went,
but there was barely
enough time
to bend forward
to kiss your cheek.
Passing –
you passed so quickly
and moments later
your absence was felt
reverberating within my heart
loud, rushing, screeching pain
of all the questions left unanswered
of the moments yet to witness
without your shadow near.
Know I hold you close
I hold you close
and I promise
I have never forgotten…
you bravely taught me
how to love you
even in passing.
