Finding the Artist in Me (Post #1)

These days, I am finding a bit more time to spend doing the things I enjoy.  While I truly enjoy artwork in all its forms, I find it difficult because I actually never had even a half of a class in artistic expression.  I was fortunate to study great artworks, but never learned the ins and outs of creation.  So, I sometimes dabble in a little bit here and there.  One of my favorite artistic forms is Zentangle ® Inspired Art.

I still want to learn more, and seeing as the summer is creeping upon us, who knows?  I just truly enjoy breathing in the beauty around me in so many ways, if that makes sense.  No matter the results of my endeavors, I shall not be afraid to admit I am learning…

    1. Thank you Leigha. I started doing little art projects here and there in the hopes to keep me busy (I spend time waiting for the kids to finish, etc.) but also for stress reduction. I have so many things going on that it is nice to sit back and do something that is solely for my own enjoyment 🙂

  1. Beautifully created! and your right, you have to start somewhere. That is the process, the road its self we walk and that is all what matters.

    1. Thank you very much, it is never easy to share something new – but I figured if I did not, then perhaps I would never make progress. I guess it is a way to remind myself I need to work on these things.

    1. Thank you Robbie. The thought of making something with fondant scares me 🙂 It would look like a huge indescribable blob. I truly find it sad that so many have never been taught that they can be artistic. If you look at the different ways art is celebrated, so many visions and views, you would think we could learn that all of us have a tinge of it in ourselves. I’m still trying – as what I create looks nothing like what I see in my head, but perhaps with practice it can be better translated over time 🙂 Thank you for the encouragement!
