Perfumed Breaths, a poem

PerfumedBreaths

How did it all fall together?

How did the petal

envelop the flower?

How does the stem,

stand strong

against the winds?

How did it all

fall into place

and who fashioned

the scent

of Lilac

Jasmine

Honeysuckle

the intoxicating scent

of beauty?

What carried the fragrance

across the fields

when a gentle wind

was blowing?

And who taught me

to breathe it all in –

to breathe it all in

and exhale its beauty?

  1. A beautiful poem. And besides the flowers i think we too need to ask these questions to ourselves. Keep up the good work.

I agree. I sometimes think there is somewhat of a parallel between nature and ourselves. We just need to see it more clearly 🙂

What a nice and inspiring poem! It is life its self that has taught you to breathe these delightful fragrances.
