Because I Don’t Have a Photographic Memory (Part #32)

Sharing more photos from the past…  These are of a wonderful walking park near us.  They have both dirt paths to walk and paved paths for joggers, walkers, and bikers alike.  They also have two ponds to walk around and enjoy the view.  I hope they brighten your day, as they have mine…

And no, they are not my usual style.  These photos were taken when my sole form of photography was through my mobile phone.  I am glad that we finally invested in a real camera, but I still find beauty in these images.  They make me smile – snippets of memories of warmer, more carefree days.

    1. I had a pretty good phone. Then they had an update and it now takes pictures like a child’s camera. I don’t even bother to take it out of my pocket if I see something picture worthy. Just not worth the trouble! However, that is what got me started in photography!

    1. Thank you very much! Hey, you’ve been changing your picture! At first I didn’t recognize you earlier in the morning. I see you now have a new one 🙂 So lovely to see you 🙂

          2. Oh my gosh… you’ve got me rolling on the floor! I needed your humor today! It has been rainy and gray all day long… I hate how the weather gets to me. It’s not that it does 100%, but when stuck indoors with a seat looking out the window, it is easy to get all gloomy!

          3. I often (used to before the move here) found winter very trying. Hardy rains 90% of the year so even when it’s sunny it clouds over and is dark and overcast and gray. It’s much better here as we aren’t as far north and subject to the dark settling in by 4 pm and lasting until 8:30 am. And your welcome. I couldn’t resist! I love humour. If you haven’t seen the videos on “older” folk and their antics on my blog, today might be a good day to view them. OMG I laughed out loud. Um, not something you may want the children to hear though. They use “words” that are inappropriate but hilariously funny given the situation. The 83 year old salsa dancer has no words but is definitely inspiring. The others (wink wink) you’d have to use headphones for! woops, my bad! nah, it was fuuuuuuny! lol

          4. I watched them all previously and was glad to watch them again. I made a comment on your page, but it disappeared? Perhaps because the message was so long it assumed it was spam?

          6. I went through some of your posts and I see that there are some I did not even see. Strange thing is – I follow you on rss feed, this way I can see everything you post and not lose anything. I find it odd. You must not be the only one affected.

          8. There’s no comment now, I’m not seeing any for that day as a matter of fact lol argh! I just hoped they weren’t offensive to anyone. I couldn’t stop laughing along with the audience. They were audacious but funny and surely hit the nail on the head when they say “older” folk don’t give a …. they speak their mind lol.

          9. I’ll have to go put it back in. I promise it wasn’t offensive 🙂 At least I don’t think so. Oh, by the time you get older – you aren’t really trying to impress anyone (or at least, I think so). I did enjoy all of them but seriously that dancer was my favorite!

          10. I agree she was impressive. Like the gentleman said, not everyone could do that. I had to marvel at her gorgeous legs. Wished mine looked as good, hehe. Still it was wonderful

          11. Oh man, I am younger than her and I wish I had her legs! Lol. She is amazing – to have that much stamina at that age is a wonder!

          12. Oh, I bet it would be a lot of work to keep them! The thought of it makes me want to embrace the legs I have (all of them). 🙂

          14. Did you get my comment? I’m beginning to worry about the computer these days, so many things not working…

No I wasn’t worried about your sense of humor. 🙂 Although well hidden, I actually enjoy silly. I was going to post (at some point) one of my favorite stories I had written –

            https://storybird.com/books/humans-should-come-with-owners-manuals/

I am hoping to write it in longform over the summer to add more detail to the story. There are a lot of funny incidents that happen in between those snippets.

So no worries about you or your age… I don’t show mine either – and I don’t intend to 🙂

          15. Oh, you liked it? It is my absolute favorite. I put a lot of myself into that story somehow. I can’t explain it – except to say I’m a bit naughty/sarcastic/silly myself. I wrote that for my children and they absolutely loved it. I have three other stories in mind with the same character and I am thinking instead to do a long form version because there are so many antics that just can’t get covered in a picture book. Then I was thinking to just do each story in both forms. One for little kids and one for older kids (you know, like my age) 🙂

          16. Yes, I did get your comment about enjoying my silly as it was a gray day…if that’s the one you meant 🙂 And it’s probably not the computer but WP as it has so many issues right now. Chuck contacted them because he’s having issues seeing reader and messages. So I guess there’s relief in mysery on that score. Not that I’d wish this on anyone else, I wouldn’t but it relieves my mind in knowing it’s not the computer. We just formatted the entire thing. Didn’t want to have to do that yet again. argh!

          17. Hopefully, they will get it fixed. Yes, formatting a computer is a big deal – not something I love to do over and over again. My husband is a techie, he does all of it but I have to sit and watch 🙂

          18. Lol, my son is a techie, I sit and watch. I can tell you what to do, mostly, I just can’t do it myself. So annoying not to be able to see but he is so good about helping me.

          19. Yep, me too. Actually though – I don’t mind going in there and trying, sometimes I make a mess of things and sometimes I amaze myself 🙂 It’s a toss-up. So glad he helps so much, that is incredibly sweet!

          20. It is, and he is! I mess it up because he said give it a go and then he has to laugh and clean it up haha and because he has no idea what I’ve done, it can be a longer process… I can’t help but laugh at that (tongue in cheek then) hehe

          21. Oh, so we’re not that different then! My husband is always saying “You broke the computer again?!?” Even when it is not me, I get blamed 😉
