Photography: Take a Walk (Post #1)

This past weekend was the first time we had gone walking in a while.  Toward the end of school, things were just too hectic.  I didn’t realize how much I had missed it.  In past years, we would often take every free moment on the weekends to go hiking or at the very least, walk along a trail.  Gosh – that is definitely one of the best things my husband ever taught me… the love of being outdoors.  Truthfully, when I was younger, I had never walked on a trail at all.  To think of all those moments missed…

Either way, I shall take you with me.  This summer, when we go on hiking expeditions – I will try my best to bring pictures back to share the beauty we see.  I know not everyone gets the opportunity to get out there so perhaps I can bring a little home to you 🙂

This trail is actually 11 or so miles long, with parks all along the way.  It also brings you to the gardens I was hoping to visit, but they were closed for a wedding.  Perhaps next time.  Either way, we were not disappointed in this walk.  While it was sunny, there was plenty of shade and we actually saw quite a bit of life… both in animal and plant forms to keep us all happy.  This is where the trail starts…

Thank you – it was such a lovely day and I truthfully can’t wait to go again. I was told there is actually beavers further up the trail that have built a dam there. We did not get that far, but hopefully soon!

Thank you Robbie. I find it so amazing to see how different our landscapes are. Is it strange that I actually cherish knowing someone from South Africa? I love the images you share as it makes me feel like I know the place 🙂

      1. I love to see other places and other people too. Maybe that is why we like blogging and enjoy the blogging community so much.

I would not doubt that. I feel that there is so much more of the earth and people that I wish I could explore. Sadly, we are often stuck in one place… however there is nothing wrong with finding other ways to spread our wings 🙂
