Photography: Evening Stroll in the Gardens (Post #3)

I’ve been busy putting the house back together after our work this past week.  The wood floors are complete and we added better brackets and shelves for the basement storage room.  Seriously, I never realized how hard it would be to hang shelves – but the guy at the hardware store sold us the wrong type of nails, even after being told what it was used for.  We finally figured things out and the last few tracks for the shelves were an easier install.  Oh, the joys of taking care of your home!

The floors in the master bedroom look more lovely than all the others.  I’m assuming it is because it is larger than most of the other rooms and has less furniture so you can actually see the floors.  Right now as I’m typing this, I’m sitting on a love-seat overlooking the view of our backyard and the neighbor’s trees.  The windows are open and there is a cool breeze.  I think it might rain, but you know – sometimes rain is a good thing 🙂  Considering how much heat we had last week while working on the wood, it is a welcome blessing.

I have not gone to the gardens this week as I still have things to do.  We’ve gotten new shelves and other things to finish the decor of the room that I have to put together and then fill with all my cherished books.  I am thinking of surprising my husband and hanging some of my photos on the walls of our room, since they are rather bare.  Seeing as most of the time he is with me on our journeys – especially hiking excursions, I am thinking to add photos of places we have been together to give it extra meaning.  Who knows – I’m still mulling it over.  I will share when/if I decide and get them printed and hung.  Until then, I hope you enjoy another jaunt through the gardens on a lovely summer evening.

  1. More beautiful photos. Glad you are getting things put back together after installing the new floors. I think the framed photos of where you have been together is a lovely idea!

    1. Still working on it – it is so much easier to take it apart than to put it together 🙂 I do hope the photos turn out well. I am going to pick them this week and then just hang them. We’ll see if he notices…

        1. I’m sure he won’t – but sometimes when he gets home the kids just jump on his lap and distract him greatly 🙂 They get excited to see him after a long day away from him, especially the younger two.
