Photography: Lost in the Scent of Another Garden (Post #5)

We are going off the grid for a week or so – trying to enjoy the last of summer before school starts in a short three weeks.  Hoping to return energized, refreshed, and ready to take on schooling again!  Sorry for those of you who have noticed my silence.  It is not intentional.  This is actually one of the first summers where I have hardly turned on the computer.  It is a good thing – I think and hopefully it will make school that much easier to endure.

This year will be a bit harder.  Little man is going into first grade and I have to teach him full-time while also teaching his older sister who is going into fifth grade.  She had Dyslexia and struggles with reading and also understanding language sometimes so she needs a lot more support from me and I am also hoping to tutor her on the side to improve her reading.  Fortunately, the two older kiddos are in high school but it is the first year for my second-oldest and she tends to have difficulty moving to new situations.  How busy I will be?  I can’t truly say but I will be around.  Writing is where I find my center, my sanity…  There is just something about it.

So you shall see me in a week or so, poking my head around the corner to see how you are doing.  I can’t wait to read through some of your adventures when I return.  Until then, I shall leave you with more garden beauty.

Thank you sweet lady. Sorry I have not responded sooner. We have been on vacation. I’ve been trying to tell you… but your page is not working very well for me at all. If I am on your page and click to add comments to a post, it takes me to a “can’t find that” page. The same is when I get stuff in my reader but the main concern is on your page. I can sometimes read all you wrote on the main page, but if I click anything “nothing found.” I also tried to send you a message through your page and clicked the link… also got an error message. Not sure if you knew that. Hugs and sorry for the silence over here. I will catch up on things once things are working again. I can’t wait!

      1. No worries. Jet pack is broken. No one can get to me unless they click on someone else’s link. It’s going to be awhile before i can fix it.

Okay… I was just worried because I wanted to comment but it would not let me! So glad you at least know what it is. Waving with a big smile. Hope you can see me 🙂

Has anyone been able to comment at all? I have tried several times and I also tried just sending you a comment through email, but all pages turned up not found. Technology is not my favorite animal 🙂 I mean, it is great and all, but it also a huge source of pain! Fortunately for us though, we at least have someone who can help us eventually figure out what is going on. 🙂

          3. Jet pack broke. It’s what makes WordPress work. They haven’t returned info or help. They broke it with the new update, but some worse than others. Mine being worst. Adams worked on it, but the only suggestion he found made it worse.

Wow. Are they even worried about fixing it? It would be hard to fix anything on your own if it is their program that is the problem! Did they say when they expected a fix 😦 So sorry to hear that. I know as a blogger how much your blog means to you.

          5. Tyvm. It does and I’m feeling a little lost, especially as reader went down last night. Fortunately I managed to bookmark a few people, you and others before it happened. Only reason we can chat. Yes it’s their problem and it’s a paid for site, which in my mind makes it worse.cause they don’t give 2 hoots. They broke links on a bunch of things with their new addition and they’ll fix that before mine I’m sure. But what they broke on mine is so extensive, it’s tons of coke and without jet pack NOTHING can work. And as each day passes it’s worse yet. I’m thankful I thought to add you to a favourite list of sorts. I’ll get the name for you. It’s new and really works well imagine that! Haha

Just checking up on you. How goes the blog? I will probably get a chance to see for myself tonight. I hope they are working hard on these issues. I would hate for your blog to be down for long. No worries… I won’t lose your address 😉

It’s so funny because in my feed, I can see you but if I click on anything it says it doesn’t exist. Are you getting any comments? In other words, is anyone getting a chance to read you? I do hope so!

          11. It’s called fvd. Perhaps have a look. Once downloaded, you click on the plus sign copy and past the URL of the sight you want handy, whether it be a blog, fb whatever site you visit most.

I’ll have to look it up. I mean, I get your posts. I use an RSS feed. The problem is, once I go to open up your blog, it says it can’t be found. If I go directly to your blog and then click on a post, it says it can’t be found. I know where you are 🙂 It just won’t let me in 😦

Thank you very much Charles. So glad to be finally home. I have missed everyone and have not written a darn thing the entire vacation. I miss it, but I also feel that in those moments I have made memories and entertained thoughts I would not have had otherwise 🙂

Well I think taking a break is necessary, and gets ones imagination firing again, though it is difficult at first to get back to the writing habit again after some time off, so hope it will go well for you, and that slowly as you slip into your new routine with the teaching the poems will start to flow again. Best wishes and blessings, Charles.

I am glad to see I still can write 🙂 I was worried, given that I truly haven’t written anything new in over 3 weeks. It was nice to rest the mind though and to not have to analyze my thoughts. Perhaps we should have up moments and down moments. It helps us soak in what we see and hear and ruminate about it more.

I too am glad that you are creating again. It is important to keep writing, but perhaps the mind tells you when it has had enough, and then one should accept that, have a complete break and then return to writing.

I know what you mean about moving too fast… I just started relaxing when summer already has ended for us! It seems to always be that way, but I am glad that I have gotten a chance to recharge and re-evaluate things. The weather this past week has been rainy, so we haven’t been able to get outdoors as much.

  5. Beautiful photos! Enjoy nature and it’s ability to rejuvenate! It teaches so much without the tediousness of studies. When we do anything immersed in nature, with our children, it just seems enlightening in a much more rewarding way. Have fun & can’t wait to hear of your adventures! ~Anne

So glad you enjoyed them. Yes, nature teaches us many important lessons and shares with us great beauty. I am fortunate that my children have also learned to love it. We used to go hiking every weekend, but work for my husband is sometimes too hectic. I am hoping to go more often this fall. I need it 🙂

Yes, I have three girls and a young boy. The oldest is 16. They are growing so fast! We enjoyed a fabulous time hiking in the mountains over our break. It was beautiful and much needed. School starts on Monday, so we have to get back into gear 🙂 I do hope you and your family are doing well. I will check in on you soon 🙂
