Ready For Change, a poem

change

The true measure of man

is in how he uses his tongue

in how he uses his hands

and how he uses his life

for good.

He need not be hero

nor selfless fool

but he does not harm

he does no harm

and he stands not

when harm is done.

You will not find him

walking about the earth

thinking himself

beyond reproach.

It matters not,

the wealth amassed

the power exploited

the number of men fallen

beneath insensible acts

of cold indifference.

We will not pamper

indecency

when indecency is done.

Know this,

No man hath might

in match nor number

than those who are

downtrodden

and ready for change.
