Photography: Beauty Beneath the Summer Sun (Post #2)

Today I decided to do things differently… well, a little differently.  I’ve decided to write a poem to go along with the images today.  It’s a message I hold dear and I hope it means something for others as well.  We should NEVER waste much time feeling bad about the things don’t work out for us, the failed relationships, the difficulties, the sadness.  Things always have an opportunity for improvement… what is important is that we never give up.  Here’s to the beauty that is you…

Windswept Flowers in A garden

We are

The windswept flowers

In a garden,

Each scent

Unique

Hyacinth whispers

Jasmine dreams

The faded petals of rose.

How can we still

Question our beauty?

How have we learned

To hide our smile?

Whatever traces

Of yesterday’s lessons

That cause us to wonder

That cause us

To hide our tears in shame

Must be undone

Must be undone

For time will never

Stand still –

And there’s never

The luxury of wasting time.

We must learn to

Love ourselves now

And recognize

The beautiful scent

We unmistakably

Leave behind.

    That’s lovely.

Just a small thing – “sand still” should probably be “stand still”

Yes. I saw that yesterday and meant to fix it, but somehow got sidetracked. Thank you 🙂
