I have not soared, a poem

Sometimes, the beauty is in accepting what we cannot change.

I did not soar

I have not flown,
I have not soared,
but somehow,
I have settled in.
There is a comfort there,
perhaps.
A rose
satisfied to be a rose
whose scent is still sweet
whose beauty
finds solace,
breathing in
the morning sun.
No accolades
nor cheer
just the fortunate
heartbeat
of purpose.

    1. Hey there – and hello! I have truly missed stopping by your blog. Things have been incredibly busy but with the current situation, I have a bit more free time to do things for me right now. You have been missed!
