Do You Hear the Music of the Wind?

Do you hear

the music of the wind?

a soulful longing

stretched across the landscape

the whistle through the trees

the gentle fluttering of leaves

and the sounds of grasses

gently swaying.

Do you hear

the music of the moonlight?

when everything

is bathed in its glow

radiant beauty shines

when all else is silent

save the soothing hum of crickets

and the sound of gentle sleep.

Alas, I am awake in all of this

the wind

the moonlight

the silent moments when I can dream

and if you listen carefully,

I too sing.
